Seeking Cost Engineer Analyst for $20B Construction Project in Columbus, OH.
Description:
1) Support and oversight of CAS team functions and deliverables
2) Creation and set up of project cost systems, inclusive of SAP, CPM, and required WBS
modifications
3) Oversight of Invoicing process and management of monthly review processes
4) Significant input and oversight of Indirects management process
5) Oversight and ownership of SOP processes related to assigned project specific scope
6) Participation in monthly cost forecast on scope under review
7) Participation and/or ownership of monthly cost report production and consolidation
8) System updates for forecasting purposes in SAP, CPM,
9) Close out activities
10) Actuals cost tracking and inputs into POR Cycles for funding and cash flow related
needs
11) Support of commitment approvals (bank), logging and entry into tracking systems, etc.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
1) Lead reconciliation, audit & review of GC invoice for large
number of suppliers against contract terms and
conditions.
2) Review, analyze, and provide recommendations related to
change orders
3) Liaison between invoice review team, client, GC &
suppliers
4) Lead review , coordination, negotiation meetings
5) Prepare reports utilizing available data (PowerBI)
6) Analyze actual expenditures versus forecast budget
performance.
Skills:
1) Comprehensive understanding of construction
contracting methods, including Time & Material, Lump
Sum, Not to Exceed, etc.
2) Comprehensive understanding of construction change
orders, budgets, forecasts, invoices, etc.
3) Ability to balance Return of Investment effort versus cost
of issue
4) Advanced excel skills
5) Self-starter with ability to work under minimal supervision
6) Ability to negotiate, drive issues to closure
7) Ability to handle ambiguity and make concise decisions.
8) Utilize expertise and judgment to plan and accomplish
goals.
9) Ability to interact extremely well with many different
client/ supplier types.
10)Excellent oral and written communication.
11) Excellent time management.
12) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
13) Develop and nurture subcontractor/vendor and client
relationships.
