Qualifications:
- Linux System Administration experience or certifications desired
- STIG experience
- Network-based IA scans experience
- Experience and/or certifications in Cyber Security, Computer Science or Information Assurance
- Knowledge of NIST Special Publication 800-53 desired
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Desired:
- Bash scripting experience
- System integration experience (embedded software systems)
Responsibilities:
- Performance Information Assurance analyses in compliance with the US Government's Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) of confidentiality, integrity, and availability requirements.
- Assess system designs for design flaws. Perform Boundary Scans in compliance with applicable STIGs.
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, detailed trade studies, and requirements allocation to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- May be hands-on with lab systems and tactical radar systems
- The Cyber Information Assurance Engineers will have experience with application software, operating systems, networking, cyber vulnerability, security principles, and design for information assurance.
- Perform duties as necessary to harden Linux OS for target application
- Apply patches to 3rd party software to address cyber vulnerability issues
- Conduct tests as appropriate to ensure that the patches and hardening perform as expected
