Actalent, a global leader in engineering and architecture talent solutions, has an opportunity to work as a designer for an affordable housing firm that offers on-site and remote working schedules.

Description:

Searching for a licensed architect or sr. designer to oversee the progression and coordination of design and documentation of affordable housing projects. Experience in pre-design through construction completion on multifamily projects is required. Strong competency in Revit is required. Experience with consultant coordination and guidance/development of junior design staff required. Experience navigating Portland land use and permitting is required. Knowledge of detailing buildings and current building and zoning codes, including accessibility, is required.

Ideal candidate must be able to:

Own technical design aspects including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions that best meets the project’s needs.

Oversee 3-5 projects simultaneously.

Plan and manage design team efforts to effectively meet deadlines and budgets.

Create an accurate architectural plan set in Revit with minimal instruction.

Perform and/or review building and planning code summaries.

Coordinate with consultants, vendors, public jurisdictions, and clients.

Coordinate consultant drawings and technical information.

Perform space planning layouts, architectural design, and interior design work.

Perform internal check set redlines.

Perform drawing revisions and various documentation during Permitting, Bidding, and Construction Administration.

Guide the development of graphics and layouts for presentations.

Ensure adherence to firm’s processes and graphic standards.

Delegate work to junior design staff as appropriate for their skill levels.

Create opportunities to pass knowledge onto junior staff.

Degree in architecture required
