Job Title: Design Project Manager
Our Client is a National, Full Service AEC Firm specialized within the Pharmaceuticals, Life Science, Health Care, and Manufacturing project industry. They are looking to bring on a Project Manager to the team who will be focused on managing the design phase of their projects. With a new office opened in Bridgewater, NJ last year, they have a small company feel and the opportunity to come in at the ground level to build a team and culture.
Job Description
Manage design projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Coordinate with design teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans and specifications.
Conduct regular meetings with clients to understand project requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns or issues.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with business development team to identify and pursue new project opportunities, including participating in client meetings, preparing proposals, and presenting capabilities.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or obstacles, and implement proactive measures to mitigate them.
Prepare and present project reports, including status updates, financial summaries, and performance metrics, to internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and teamwork within the project team and across the organization.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance project delivery and client satisfaction.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture
Professional Engineering or Registered Architect license are a plus
Proven experience managing design projects in an Engineering or architecture firm
Project experience including Life science, Pharmaceutical, Medical or Manufacturing design project
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and Sr management.
Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards related to MEP design and construction.
Experience in business development, including client relationship management, proposal preparation, and sales presentations, is preferred.
Willingness to travel to client sites and attend industry events as needed.
Work Environment
Full service AEC firm. Hybrid 3 days in office, 2 days WFH. Ideally T-Th, but can be fluid, communicating the week's schedule. New office.
