Description:
Multi-disciplinary engineering firm located in Connecticut made up of civil engineers, site planners, environmental and wetland scientists. Dedicated to combining innovative design with environmental science and conscientious development. Clients include commercial businesses, private homeowners, municipalities and government agencies and municipalities, land-use attorneys, school boards and town agencies. The diversity of disciplines within the firm provides clients with a comprehensive approach to each project, from concept to completion.
Director of Engineering:
Professional Engineer (P.E) with a minimum of 10-15 years of experience. Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD/Hydoflow, Micro Station. Candidate should have a high level of understanding of Land development, including planning and analysis of engineering systems needed for the use of land including streets, highways, sewage, water facility, storm drainage, grading, land use and utilities. Strong skills and experience in the design of site work, infrastructure, storm drainage design and treatment, roadway design, erosion control and onsite sewage disposal systems. The candidate is expected to engage with clients, manage engineering staff, understand the application and permitting process, possess good writing skills and capable of preparing construction specifications.

- Oversite of Engineers
- Client coordination
- Project Management
- Site design projects
- Drainage management designs
- Septic design
- Site grading
- Preparation of a variety of local municipal applications
- Road design and storm sewer design
Requirements:
- Bachelors in Civil Engineering from an accredited engineering school
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D as well as other industry standard software
- P.E. License
Top Skills Details:
- P.E license in Connecticut and/or neighboring states
- Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering
- 10-15 years of work experience ideally in land development or site civil
- Experience with: Sewerage systems, stormwater/wastewater, drainage, roadway/highway design, land development, oversight of junior engineers & reports, coordinate with clients, etc.
