Description:
The Drafter is responsible for all documentation and limited design effort in support of new and modified products. This includes layout, conceptual drawings, detail, sub-assembly, and final assembly drawings. He/she will provide support and assistance to others within the department, and supports the manufacturing, production, and assembly of our existing products by maintaining product documentation to the most current, approved revision status.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Proficient operation of CAD (preferably CADKEY) and other PC based hardware/software; minimum one year recent CAD experience.
• Excellent knowledge of drafting standards, including ANSI-Y-14.5, DOD-D-1000 and Mil-STD-100.
• Familiarization with machining/metal working processes, molding, casting, plating, and general fabrication/assembly in a mid volume environment. Ability to perform (hands-on) the limited fabrication and assembly of company products on an as needed basis.
• Trade school or graduation from junior college with emphasis in a technical discipline. Sufficient communication skills to adequately interface with various levels of engineering and manufacturing/assembly personnel.
• Diligent and hard working; able to work in a stressful environment while quickly and accurately producing CAD documentation.
