Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Our Client is a Multi-Disciplinary Engineering Firm focused within Public municipal and Wastewater projects. They are seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team. They have a wide variety of work from highly complex clients. This Engineer will be challenged on a daily basis where nothing they work on will be cookie cutter. They avoid pigeonholing people and offer a ton of growth opportunity and promotions from within. They are onsite 3 days a week and work from home 2 days.

Job Description

Work closely with various project design teams and customers to provide Electrical system and equipment design services, including medium and low voltage utility service entrance and power distribution, lighting, and motor controls. Develop and draft basis of design reports. Perform short circuit, load flow, voltage drop, and arc flash calculations. Perform circuit ampacity and conduit fill calculations. Provide technical, communication, and leadership skills necessary to effectively present findings and integrated solutions to the customer via written reports and oral presentations. Prepare detailed specifications, contract drawings, and contractor bid packages.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering or closely related Engineering Degree (required)
• Working on obtaining EIT/PE license
• 5 years electrical design experience of Electrical systems (lighting, fire alarm, etc.) for industrial municipal, educational, pharmaceutical, healthcare or manufacturing facilities
• Experience coordinated designs with equipment vendors (motor control centers, low voltage switchgears)
• Experience with wire/conduit sizing
• Familiarity with standards including: NEC, NYC Building Codes, Energy Codes, NFPA Recommended Standards, ConEdison Installation Standards/Blue Book
• Design experience in single line diagrams
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience with electrical system modeling performance software such as SKM or ETAP is a plus
