What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Hardware Engineer position at Actalent?
Description:
Actalent is looking to add two senior-level hardware engineers to add to their Cedar Rapids team.
The ideal candidate will be someone with strong design, technical simulation, development, and project leadership experience.
Responsibilities include:
Attend team meetings to provide updates and maintain project schedule and activities related to the development process.
Ensure all project deliverables are accounted for and completed.
Write system requirements related to hardware projects and input into JAMA (requirements management tool) for visibility and management.
Support test leads to ensure test requirements are in place.
Complete general documentation related to Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) and other.
Collaborate with Project Managers, hardware engineers, firmware engineers, and other engineering disciplines to complete projects.
Work alongside systems engineers to develop requirements.
Support internal stakeholders (marketing) to ensure requirements effectively capture product and project needs.
Oversee, review, and provide hardware design and documentation sign offs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent
5 or more years in Hardware Design, Test, and Leadership
Experience in the design of embedded analog/digital modules, subsystems, and systems using embedded microprocessors and FPGA's
Experience in PCB design, signal analysis, and layout
Experience with testing, diagnostics, debugging, and troubleshooting using lab and bench equipment
Experience with a requirements management tool such as JIRA, JAMA, or DOORS
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Someone who began in hardware design using eCAD, KiCAD, Altium, MicroSim, etc. and with hardware testing experience who has worked in a design lead role with heavy technical experience and is looking to remain in a similar role.

Salary : $83,200 - $105,000
