Job Title: Electromagnetic Design Engineer
Job Description
The Electrical Engineer (EE) will lead the electromagnetic design for assigned projects, primarily involving high-speed permanent magnet alternators and motors. The EE will use both in-house and commercial design software for lumped parameter calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) when necessary. The role requires close interaction with other design functions, including mechanical and design/drafting, and coordination of the EMAG design with associated power electronics and regulators.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform electromagnetic design analyses and calculations.
- Prepare and deliver analysis results to large audiences.
- Interpret and clarify customer technical expectations.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Team to achieve internal cost targets and establish cost objectives.
- Define and uphold technical compliance with customer requirements.
- Adhere to project schedules and meet deadlines.
- Coordinate technical design efforts with other resources, including Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and integrated product teams.
- Draft technical proposals and present technical details to customers.
- Generate comprehensive design and analysis reports.
