What are the responsibilities and job description for the Energy Inspector/ Engineer position at Actalent?
Location: Fully remote when not traveling to sites.
Role: Energy Engineer to join our Energy Efficiency Program Inspections team. This team assists energy utilities in CT with Energy Efficiency measure inspections at various commercial, small business, and multifamily facilities to promote reduced energy bills, decarbonization, and reduced reliance on fossil fuels.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Conducting on-site energy efficiency measure inspections, verifying all parameters that affect project savings and eligibility
- Writing clear, detailed inspection reports describing verification methods and discrepancies
- Communicating effectively with internal team members, site staff, contractors, and utility clients
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- General knowledge of energy efficiency measures, principles, and applications
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and a professional demeanor
- An organized, detail-oriented approach and the ability to work independently
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel daily to complete inspections in CT
