Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator

Job Description

This entry-level EHS Coordinator position requires candidates with 2 years of EHS experience within a shipyard environment. The selected candidate will perform site walks of the shipyard facility, write EHS compliance reports, complete safety logs, interact with all departments on site to ensure compliance with OSHA and government guidelines, and lead Injury Illness Prevention Program safety trainings for employees.

This is a fully on-site position in San Diego, California.

Work Environment

This role operates in a shipyard repair and maintenance environment. Candidates must have prior experience working in a shipyard to be familiar with the conditions. The culture within the company is highly collaborative, with departments working well together and employees feeling valued. The team has good tenure, indicating a stable work environment. The EHS Coordinator will work with all departments throughout the shipyard, under the supervision of the EHS Supervisor and Director of EHS. The work schedule is from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday.
