What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Project Manager position at Actalent?
Our client has specialized in the assessment, remediation, and management of environmental liability for more than 20 years. They serve clients from Maine to Virginia in both the private and public sector, on Brownfields, Greenfield and everything in between. This position offers remote flexibility with occasional site visits required, depending on the phase of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects concurrently and in a timely manner; working directly under 3-4 LSRP's
- Oversee quality of deliverables throughout the project's life cycle;
- Coordinating the efforts of team members and Subcontractors in order to manage projects according to the approved scope of work;
- Successfully deliver a quality product on time whether internally for leadership review or externally for client review and per the scope of work/proposal authorization;
- Field Investigation and assessments;
- Proposal writing and management;
- Staff oversight, management and mentoring;
- Overall responsibility for all portions of the services/reports you manage and conduct, including text and appendices whether internal or external.
- Communicate with team members, managers and/or client regarding scope-of-work and client expectations throughout the term of the project.
- Effectively communicate, understand and complete project expectations (i.e., Client-specific SOW, proposals, change orders) in a timely and clear manner throughout the course of the project.
- Provide solid recommendations and solutions to managers and clients, while understanding/incorporating and achieving the goals of the overall projects
- Identify and resolve issues with projects
- Deliver quality deliverables to team members
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate team members
- Develop and maintain deliverable schedules and meet scheduled timeframes. Identify road blocks or data gaps that will prevent you from meeting goals and commitments ahead of time and identify solutions to resolve the issue in a timely manner. Identify and notify leadership, team members and clients when deadlines or commitments will not be met.
- Administrative hygiene including but not limited to following our Standard Operating Procedures for invoicing, receipt documentation, subcontractor invoice review and approvals, time tracking, etc.
- Field duties include site walkovers, offsite document review, remediation oversight, remediation activities, subcontractor oversight and data evaluation.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of professional experience in site remediation and investigation
- At least 3 years of professional experience in project management
