Additional Skills & Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry/Environmental Science/Natural Science preferred or equivalent experience. Field chemists with relevant experience in field (non-degree will be considered. 40-hr Hazardous Waste Operations 29 CRF 1910.120(e) (3) required) 2. Additional Certifications and Training (RCRA Annual Training, DOT training, Bloodborne Pathogens Training, Master’s degree, etc.) 3. Previous experience as a Field Chemist, performing labpacks and other DOT related functions, writing hazardous waste manifests and waste management and collection in satellite accumulation area (SAA) and central storage (CS) areas in MD, DC and VA 4. Laboratory or healthcare work experience - knowledge of laboratory health & safety standards and hazard communication requirements 5. Successful candidates must be able to pass background check; DOT/medical physical before hire and pre-employment drug testing 6. Must have clean driving record, ability to work 40-50 hours per week 7. Must be able to handle & move drums of at least 250 – 450 pounds 8. Shall maintain a professional image and verbal and written communication skills 9. Shall maintain attention to detail 10. Shall be able to follow all company and client site directives CDL Class B with HAZMAT Endorsement (nice to have) 24-hour Emergency Spill Response Manifest and profiling of waste Waste Disposal Sampling
