Description:
Scope of Work:
• Electrical construction for a utility scale wind farm, including trenching and laying AC/DC collection lines, terminations, running conduit, inverter work, combiner boxes, etc.
Major Responsibilities:
• Safety: Ensure safe operations of the job site; ensure proper PPE is being used by all personnel on site, assist with preparing safety related reports
• Scheduling: Assist superintendents and foremen with planning, and organizing construction activities; assist with schedule monitoring and reporting; assist with three week look-ahead schedules
• Quality Assurance: Assist with visually inspecting all aspects of construction to ensure compliance with scope of work; assist with administration of QA/QC program for the project; complete and submit QA/QC documentation; maintain accurate QA/QC logs; assist with RFI development and submission
• Cost Control: Assist project logs and note discrepancies in quantity; address any scope gap from contact documents; report shortages of materials; assist with change order preparation
• Materials Management: Monitor the project material tracker to ensure status of materials to be delivered is on hand when needed; inspect deliveries when they arrive for contract compliance and order compliance; note any discrepancy; assist with requisition of supplies or project materials; ensure packing slips are gathered, reviewed, properly documented and submitted to accounts payable on a weekly basis
• Subcontract Management: Assist with monitoring of subcontractors work; review subcontractors scope, schedule and quantity of work installed; assist with communicating subcontractor’s progress to owner’s representatives.
• Administrative Assistance: Tracks, prepares, and sends credit card receipts weekly to Accounts Payable; tracks, prepares and sends weekly time cards and per diem reports to Payroll; Compiles and prepares new employee hire packets and all of the items needed to process a new hire; sends new hire packet to Human Resources; Assist Project Engineer with providing a brief training and orientation to all new hires; Ensure proper drug testing and other compliance related hiring tasks are completed in an appropriate and timely manner; Conveys information about employee site changes, terminations, discipline.
Responsible for coordinating construction activities for wind farm project
- Liaison between Site Superintendent and Project Engineer
- GPS locating, taking pictures, documenting, inspecting, QA/QC
- Complete all required job site QA/QC paperwork, which includes daily budget reports, trench logs, bore logs, splice logs, drain tile logs and any other reports that are required for the project
- Tracks, prepares and sends and weekly time cards to Payroll Department
- Tracks, prepares, and sends credit card receipts weekly to Accounts Payable
- Track supplies and materials received and used to complete the project.
- Communicate with subcontractors, superintendents, office staff, engineering staff, consultants, and owner’s representatives
- Attend project meetings

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business administration or equivalent education and experience
• Prior construction experience (internship included)
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office; specifically Word, Excel and Outlook; Procore experience also required
