FPGA Engineer (VHDL)

Description:
Actalent is seeking a FPGA engineer with experience writing hyperdimensional algorithms were the math used the FPGA to process, not an FPGA field. The FPGA engineer will take part in state of the art image processing and exploitation algorithms for airborne imaging sensor systems and supporting a diverse portfolio of image and signal processing capabilities. The successful candidate will have a strong mathematical background , experience with image processing algorithms, good programming abilities, and a desire to continuously improve and diversify their engineering skills.
Must be able to obtain a secret clearance

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• 3-6 years of Register-transfer Level (RTL) design for FPGAs in VHDL or Verilog (open to education & years) Willing to take MS with project experience
• Experience implementing signal or image processing algorithms into FPGA fabric
• Experience with high-speed interfaces (ex. PCIe, CoaXPress, 10GbE) and DDR memory controllers
• Experience with Xilinx Zynq, Versal, or Alveo system design
Preference will be given to candidates with the following skills:
• python programming
• C & MATLAB programming-Highest on Nice to Have scale
• Mapping applications using Vitis HLS or Vitis AI
• Linux device driver development- rare to find
• Bit accurate validation of complex designs against algorithm models
