What are the responsibilities and job description for the GIS position at Actalent?
We are seeking a skilled GIS Editor/Technician to join our
team. The GIS Editor will be responsible for editing and updating geographic
information systems (GIS) data, ensuring accuracy and completeness regarding
our client's territory. This position is responsible for data entry,
processing, and maintenance of utility client's data in their system. The ideal
candidate will have strong attention to detail, proficiency in GIS software,
and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities:
Edit and update GIS data to maintain accuracy and
completeness.
Data entry into the GIS database regarding planned and
completed field work
Data entry utilizing AutoCAD for underground subdivisions
Reconcile data conflicts
Provide storm support for utility client's pinging meters
Coordinating updates with the team
Providing mapping/technical support for users
Perform quality assurance checks on GIS data.
Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve data
discrepancies.
Stay up-to-date on GIS technology and best practices.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's in GIS or related field is a plus
Certificate in GIS is a plus
Experience working with ESRI's ArcMap/ArcPro and Schneider's
ArcFM editing tools
Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD or
similar.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Experience with database management and spatial analysis is
