What are the responsibilities and job description for the High Voltage Lab Technician position at Actalent?
Description:
• Installs Residential and Industrial products and test equipment up to 480VAC / 1000V DC • Build one off test equipment consisting of aluminum framing, HV bussing, contactors, and other related items • Build server racks consisting of both HV and LV complex wiring, rack mounted computers, DIN rail power supplies, and other related items • Installs and maintains electrical panels, power distribution and electrical drops • Works closely with engineering, facilities and technicians to install equipment in a fast-paced work environment • Builds infrastructure using channel strut, conduit, overhead wire trays and electrical enclosures

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of lab and electrical experience in industrial, commercial and/or residential setting • Efficient in sizing conductors, conduits and using NEC Code Book. • Ability to produce parts lists and work plans based off drawings or lab walks • Ability to install electrical equipment and circuit modification • Experienced in handling low to high voltage up to 480 VAC • Knowledge in using hand tools, electrical meter, and testing equipment • Strong knowledge in installing and troubleshooting of PLCs, motor controls, electronic components a plus
