What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Engineer position at Actalent?
Description:
This industrial engineer will be moving stations from the Lansing plant over to the new Holt plant. There is currently 1 engineer working on putting in/setting up all the racking so this engineer will work in conjunction with him. This engineer will need to complete time studies to make sure the holt facility is efficient and accommodating the needs of sub assembly needs. This will be done by time studies, line balancing, layout work and process improvement. They want this completed asap and believe it will be complete in 3 months or less.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The selected contractor will take responsibility of Time studies and Line Balancing
• Collect data on existing processes and assist with Process improvement
• Assist with Layout changes
Skills & Qualifications:
MUST HAVES:
- Degree in industrial or manufac 2 years of experience as an IE or plant layout experience or time study experience
- If they don’t have a degree they need 4 years of being an IE or plant layout experience
- Fluent in process flows and time studies
- Efficient with Plant launch and layout activities.
