Job Description:
- Receive and prepare samples for lab analyses and tests
- Prepare samples on slides or other testing format requires that require information
- Send out specifics about lab samples to appropriate specialty lab
- Help diagnose various pet and other animal illnesses, injuries, and diseases
- Process specimens, retrieve and release test results, and assist in test research
- Perform instrument test protocols for new and existing products
- Maintain and communicate schedule changes
- Manage lab inventory, procure supplies, and stock shelves
- Be responsible for general lab maintenance and overall cleanliness of lab and equipment
- Support amd maintain various processes and systems/databases
- Perform record keeping and date entry
- Transcribe pre-dictated medical reports
- Perform administrative duties such as parcel deliveries, file requisitions, and support with billing/pricing/sample transportation
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
MUST HAVES:
- 2 or 4 year degree in Science-related field preferred.
- 0-2 years lab or specimen processing experience, entry level candidates will be considered.
- Ability to sit/stand for long extended periods of time.
- Physical ability to extend/reach and lift 25 lbs. and partner lift 50 lbs.
- High attention to detail, strong data entry/computer skills.
