What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Coordination Manager position at Actalent?
Description: The Laboratory Coordination Manager is responsible for the effective management, operation, coordination and safety of the laboratories contained in the brand new Engineering & Technology Center. They coordinate activities, provide technical support, manage commons supplies and common spaces, maintain documentation and other tasks, as required.
- Coordinate and manage activities and programs within the facility; manages records for all activities and programs.
- Responsible for overseeing safety and security of laboratory facilities including maintaining current knowledge of all relevant protocols, regulations, standards, certifications, and safety reporting procedures as well as developing and maintaining standard operating procedures; Coordinate with internal Health & Safety Team.
- Coordinate with Lab owners for inspection, maintenance, and/or troubleshooting; Ensures documentation of routine and preventive maintenance;
- Coordination and management of shared activities including use of common space, chemical storage, management of common supplies, coordination of waste and recycling, utilization of common equipment, receiving at the common dock, etc.
- Coordinate with Facility Management to understand all non-internal personnel inside of the lab spaces including vendors, guests and customers.
- Coordinate with lab owners to understand the work being performed and the required PPE at any given time. Ensure that signage and communications are sufficient to support safe operations.
This person will be hired as a Full-Time W-2 employee of Actalent where you would receive an hourly wage, holiday pay, PTO/Vacation, Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision insurance). This is a long term contract position where the engineering firm has the option to bring you on to their permanent staff OR you will remain an Actalent consultant.
