Description:
Lead the Test Engineering department to execute complex project initiatives, involving cross-functional teams, providing technical direction and mentorship to engineers and technicians.
Working for a top Aerospace company in SLC. Will be working with Hill AFB and federal government.
Candidates without active Secret or TS Clearances will not be considered
- Collaborate with acoustic engineering, program management, and senior leadership to define priorities and program direction and ensure successful integration, testing, and validation of acoustic assemblies.
- Manage projects within timelines and budgets, promoting process improvements and automation.
- Drive software programming and electronics maintenance for test equipment to support transducer systems and ceramic manufacturing, leveraging automation to enhance efficiency.
- Lead the team to troubleshoot test system and acoustic system electronics, down to the component level, in support of calibrating acoustic transducers and variable depth sonar systems.
- Lead equipment maintenance and modernization plan, interfacing with leadership to coordinate site priorities, secure funding, and execute to schedule and budget.
- Design and implement manual and automated electromechanical test systems from requirements through validation.
- Develop, revise, and execute comprehensive test plans and procedures, ensuring documentation accuracy.
- Lead participation in test and production readiness reviews, ensuring quality and performance meet specifications.
- Travel occasionally, up to 10% of the time.

- Active Secret security clearance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, execute program-critical tasks, and achieve aggressive project plans.
- Proven experience in driving process improvements and automation.

- Broad knowledge of software programming, electronics, test equipment, and troubleshooting.
- In-depth understanding of acoustic test methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and innovation capabilities.
- Completion of transducer testing theory training courses is a plus.
