Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze and design manufacturing cells that conform to Lean Manufacturing standards
• Maintain and improve technical procedures for manufacturing processes
• Maintain and improve statistical process controls
• Determine and eliminate root causes and diminish occurrences in the manufacturing process.
• Work collaboratively with Design and Purchasing team to improve existing products
• Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP); Support all current and new product introduction
• Utilize production metrics to identify waste and areas for continuous improvement (Pass rate, Scrap, Throughput)
• Utilize statistical analysis to make data driven decisions
• Ensure all manufacturing safety policies and procedures are implemented and maintained at all times
• Stay informed concerning new manufacturing technologies and equipment in order to manufacture and reduce cost through quality and efficiencies
• Other duties as assigned

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Five to Ten years previous manufacturing engineering experience required (level 2). 2 years of experience to be considered for level 1.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Lean / Six Sigma experience preferred
• VSM / PDSA experience preferred
• Strong problem-solving capabilities
• Knowledge of machining and materials, preferred
• Secondary process knowledge, preferred
• Robust knowledge or manufacturing standards
• Strong Blueprint knowledge
• Hands-on, team oriented and committed to business improvement processes
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Process-oriented mentality
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and/or six sigma methodology
• Proficient with the Microsoft Suite Software
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
