What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master Scheduler position at Actalent?
Description:
• Works closely with manufacturing supervisors and manufacturing engineering to provide for realistic capacity plans by department and/or work center.
• Works closely with other sites to manage multiple product lines introduced to the facility.
• Provides both routine and specifically requested production analysis reports.
• Develops master schedule from the business plan and maintains it.
• Place and maintain required purchase orders for suppliers or product groups as assigned by the purchasing manager.
• Drives materials utilizing MRP providing proper lead-time to purchasing.
• Develops production capacity planning tools for crew sizing.
• Identifies inventory related problems such as bill of material and routing errors, material substitutions and makes recommendations to resolve them.
• Plays a key role in maintaining data integrity in the manufacturing systems data base.
• Provide training for buyers, associate buyers and other departments as needed.
