Actalent Services is currently partnered with an Engineering Firm in Columbus, Ohio and we are hiring a Mechanical Engineer for this Engineering Firm. The Architectural/Engineering Firm focuses on a variety of projects ranging from small government buildings, manufacturing facilities, healthcare facilities.
This is a small architectural firm which allows you to work on a variety of different projects and you will not be pigeon-holed into doing just one type of projects. This Architectural firm does provide you opportunities to their employees if they want to grow and challenge you to grow in your career. Flexibility is also given to individuals who are meeting project deadlines and meeting expectations.
The Architectural Firm is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer that holds a professional degree in Mechanical Engineering, with at least roughly 4 plus years of related experience. A person at this level will produce HVAC Construction drawings and specifications for new and existing facilities utilizing AutoCAD & Revit
Other Responsibilities & Duties Include:
Working knowledge of Ohio and Kentucky codes
Be mindful of schedules and specific details of projects
Provide supervision, mentorship, and quality-control review of support staff
Can be relied upon to present directly to the client on technical and design solutions
This is a consultant position through Actalent where you are a full-time W2 employee of Actalent and after 9-months of employment through Actalent where you have the ability to transition employment through from Actalent to the firm you have been supporting. You will receive vacation, 6 paid holidays, 401k, opportunity to enroll in Udemy (an online learning academy) after 6 months of employment with Actalent, and benefits/insurance (Health, Dental, Vision Insurance).
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Design heating-ventilation-cooling systems and plumbing systems
Load calculations, life cycle costing and energy modeling
Coordinate with other disciplines and work in a team environment
Review installation of designed equipment / systems for compliance with construction documents
Perform duties with multiple projects within the established schedules
Work on a wide variety of project types, scales and complexity
Work on concurrent projects
Prepare construction cost estimates, both in a broad and detailed scope
Assist in the development of contract specifications and research the application of new procedures and / or products
Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner, in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan
Possess aptitude to act as a positive representative of the company and its core values
