What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Actalent?
We are looking for a qualified and certified Medical Assistant candidate. The candidate should be familiar with patient injections, histories, phone triage, accurate charting skills, performing basic lab tests and rooming patients.
Job Duties:
Manages the check-in and registration process, interview patients, measures vital signs (i.e pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts. May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Medical Assistants will be responsible for registering the patients when they arrive for their visit. They will need to create new patient charts for new patients and update the correct existing patient chart. Must be comfortable with front and back office duties in the center.
Skills & Qualifications:
CCMA or RMA preferred
BLS preferred
At least 1 year of healthcare experience
At least 2 years of customer service experience
Looking for CCMA, RMA, EMT, Paramedic background, customer service preferred in a healthcare setting. Bonus if you possess phlebotomy, phlebotomist, X-ray, lab technician and radiology technologist background.
