What are the responsibilities and job description for the MEP BIM Coordinator position at Actalent?
Description:
- Seeking a BIM Coordinator to support a large Mechanical Contractor that is looking to start their BIM department and bring the BIM modeling/coordinating in-house.
- The Mechanical Contractor has been outsourcing their BIM to outside companies and is looking to bring the BIM internally to reduce costs while also growing their company to meet growth goals.
- You will be the primary BIM Coordinator for the entire Mechanical Contractor and you will work directly with the CEO, CTO, and the Director of Operations - Ohio to start BIM internally.
- Your main responsibilities will be to manage the BIM Coordination, conduct BIM Modeling, and clash detection.
- The majority of the projects are piping and plumbing design for schools, office buildings, hospitals, and other large commercial buildings.
- The primary CAD software will be Revit.
This person will be initially hired as a W-2 employee of Actalent supporting the Mechanical Contractor as a BIM Coordinator and after supporting the mechanical contractor for 9 months, you have the option to transition to them as a direct employee.
