Job Title: Phlebotomist

Job Description

The Phlebotomist provides expertise in blood draws and specimen preparation. They are integral to our commitment to high-quality care by putting patients at ease and obtaining sufficient samples with minimal discomfort. This role is essential in a wide demographic range of patients and partners. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, explaining the venipuncture process clearly to patients, demonstrating techniques with straight and butterfly needles, understanding physician orders, matching lab requisition forms to specimen tubes, packaging specimens for transport, storing specimens properly, and maintaining compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations.

Hard Skills

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for MD

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Largo, Maryland.
