I'm currently hiring 3 Piping Designers for an client in Fort Worth, TX

Description:
The Piping Designer will be responsible for the successful delivery of preliminary and detailed designs of piping systems for an existing maritime vessel program. The Sr. designer will be responsible for the 2D and 3D pipe design. Communication and coordination between the piping and hull structure teams will be an important aspect of this project.
Essential Functions:
• Taking design direction from Piping Team Lead on piping design, routing etc.
• Create top level master models, including skeletons and layouts
• Proficiency in two (2) design area and working knowledge in three (3) additional design areas (expansion of knowledge and experience)
• Ability to apply engineering principles, methods and best practices in drawings/models
• Functional proficiency of design standards and mechanical engineering principles
• Functional proficiency of drafting principles
• Functional proficiency of functional design
• Functional proficiency of manufacturability concepts
• Functional proficiency of material property applications
• Functional proficiency of cost considerations
• Expert skillset of applicable 3D design tool(s): ShipConstructor and AutoCAD
• Mentor Designer I and Designer II and/or Drafters

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Associates technical degree (to include drafting)/ or equivalent work experience
• 3 years of maritime piping systems, preferred
• 2 yrs. experience with ShipConstructor and AutoCAD (software should not be more than 2yrs removed)
o Piping and Structure, preferred
• Experience with engineering drawing release systems
• Good understanding of DoD marine system regulations, standards and specifications
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Team player with ability to work in a highly cross-functional and virtual environment
• Working knowledge of MS Office suite of tools.
• Service in the United States Navy or United States Coast Guard a plus
• Ability to travel when needed
