Job Title: Project Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team based in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, manage project contracts, and maintain clear communication with all members of the project team. This role requires flexibility and the ability to commute to various job sites as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional, first-class customer service.
- Assist with the execution and management of project contracts.
- Prepare and present computer-generated spreadsheets and reports.
- Maintain regular communication and collaboration with the entire project team, including Project Foreman, Project Manager, General Contractor, Architect/Engineer, and other subcontractors.
- Generate, maintain, and facilitate project documentation throughout all phases of the construction process, including requests for information, submittals, drawings, specifications, purchase orders, material orders, change orders, and close-out documents.
- Perform material take-offs from drawings to help generate estimates and changes.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, efficiency, and integrity in all aspects of the work.
- Maintain flexibility with assigned work environment and project locations, with possible commuting to various jobsite locations.
- Attend and conduct meetings as required.
- Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on specific project needs.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; OR 2 years’ prior experience in a related field via internships, co-ops, or industry employment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability in utilizing a wide range of computer software.
- Strong interpersonal communication, attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Engineer-in-training certification, Journeyman license, and field experience preferred but not required.
Work Environment
This role is primarily on-site and involves traveling to large industrial construction sites. The candidate must be able to adapt to various job site conditions and maintain professional conduct in a dynamic work environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00
