Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

- Design supporting structures and auxiliary equipment for new shop equipment

- No need to design industrial machinery; all new machinery is purchased

- Design mezzanines, foundations, support columns, and beams

- Specify and install support equipment for machinery (e.g., bridge cranes, ductwork)

- Primarily design using AutoCAD 2D

- Support maintenance engineering and shutdown projects

- Lead projects from design to installation, including specifying, evaluating, and installing new equipment

- Engage in hands-on engineering during equipment installations

- Consider industrial ventilation principles in machine installation projects

- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with new equipment (e.g., hydraulic leaks, damaged hardware)

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Orrville, Ohio.

Work Environment

Design work will be performed in an air-conditioned office. However, candidates will regularly work on the shop floor, which is a hot and dirty castings environment, when installing or specifying new equipment.
