What are the responsibilities and job description for the QC Inspector position at Actalent?
Our client, a leader in the Nuclear Industry is looking for qualified quality inspectors to join their team in the Bowmanvile area on a contract basis.
Description:
Candidates will perform visual QC inspection of mechanical work. They will be doing inspections via the remote control center (RCC) using cameras and headsets to talk to the team inside the vault AS WELL AS working inside the vault. They will be required to go into the vault to visually see what the trades are doing, execute ITPs, communicate with the RCC. Inspectors will follow ITP's and sign off activities (record sheets) and document appropriate information for work completed. Candidates may also participate in the preparation and execution of the Inspection and Test Plans. Inspectors will perform quality inspections in accordance with the related codes and customer specifications and will be tracking non-conformance reports and corrective/preventative action requests.
Such inspections shall include but not be limited to:
- Dimensional inspections
- Visual welding inspection
- Positive material identification
- Review of Certified Material Test Reports as required
- Perform internal weld monitoring as required.
- Complete all associated documentation and forms for individual inspections.
Requirements:
Nuclear Clearance for OPG or Bruce Power.
Quality Inspection

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
CWB Level 1 or Level 2
ITP Writing Experience
