Job Description:
Quality Control Technician responsible for daily testing procedures during the manufacturing process, ensuring that products comply with food safety and quality standards and written specifications.
The Quality Control Technician will also be responsible for calibrating and monitoring test instruments and equipment.
Responsible for quality testing on raw materials, in process and finished products.
Monitor and verify CCPs (Critical Control Points), GMPs, SOPs
Inspect incoming and finished materials.
Collect data- document results
Pre-op activities- visual inspection, ATP swabbing, allergen swabbing
GMP monitoring and training
Chemical tests- pH, aw (water testing), sensory evaluation.
Daily report Hold and release product
Quality Control Technician will perform all duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred HACCP trained preferred
Shall be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point systems
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, not required
Ideal candidate will have Food Manufacturing QC experience.
Will also consider candidates without experience with a science degree
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with overtime on the weekends.
Must be able to get along with others
Must be detail oriented.
NICE TO HAVES (not required): Bilingual Spanish/English, some lab experience, HACCP training, science degree
