What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Analyst position at Actalent?
Description:
Performs analyses, maintains, optimizes, and troubleshoots on the LCMS instrument. Ensure accurate and reliable analyses for cross-contamination. Creates batch instructions. Performs analytical services that support production and packaging activities. Maintains laboratory instrumentation/equipment. Leads the validation of existing methodologies.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Perform analyses on Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry – QQQ (LCMS) for cross-contamination
- Enable other analysts to perform LCMS analyses
- Work with vendors and global network to: develop and optimize methods for existing LCMS analyses and maintain reliable performance of the LCMS instrument.
- Create and update production batch instructions.
- As needed, perform typical lab analyst tasks, such as performing routine analyses to confirm product specifications in support of production, packaging, bulk shipping, raw material receipt, wash water testing, and product inquiries.
- Troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation issues.
- Obtain and prepare special samples for shipment.
- Assist Supervisor with special projects, as necessary.
- Provides technical support to plant production employees.
- Documents data/results in appropriate technical databases/documentation.
- Perform quality inspections and audits on manufacturing vessels and packaging lines
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree of Science in Chemistry
Experience with LCMS
1 year of experience from industry
1 year of experience from academia
Experience Level:
Intermediate Level
