What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Manager position at Actalent?
Description:
- Manage the IATF 19649 QMS and conduct internal audits to the standard.
- Manage quality control personnel on a day-to-day basis.
- Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development.
- Design, implement, and document procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
- Establish, implement, and maintain metrics (process capability, control charts, measurements quality) for monitoring system effectiveness and to enable managers to make sound product quality decisions.
- Perform root-cause analysis and other problem-solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements through the use of 8D’s, A3’s and FMEA’s.
Skills:
Quality engineering, Ppap, Audit, automotive industry
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- BS degree or equivalent experience
- Thorough knowledge of IATF 16949 to include APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control plans, PPAP and standardized work.
- Knowledge in welding steel product in accordance to ANSI/AWS standard – D1.1
