What are the responsibilities and job description for the R&D Technician position at Actalent?
Description:
- Technician will be completing testing that is prepared by the engineer on a compressor
- Using measurement tools to complete testing and report findings to team
- 75% of the time in the lab, building parts, building units to put on test, monitoring test, etc.
-Durability and endurance testing on compressor - pressure and temperature testing
-Working with data acquisition system
- Might use crane or lift brake, which can be up to 75lbs, to complete testing required
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
-Must be mechanically inclined, familiar with torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, etc.
-Will look at someone who has 2 years of experience working in a lab doing mechanical testing OR Associate Degree in Engineering and is looking for experience as technician
