Scientist Description:
You will support formulation and drug product development at all stages of product development and commercialization, supporting different drug product modalities. In addition, you can expect to carry out research on protein formulation stability and compatibility with drug delivery systems to enable clinical and commercial administration of drug products.
- Designs and completes protein formulation and stability studies to support various phase-appropriate antibody and other biological drug development.
- Develops and performs characterization of candidate molecules using various biophysical and biochemical analytical techniques.
- Develops drug product formulation and supports the process development and manufacturing of clinical drug substances and drug products; authors technology transfer documents to internal and external manufacturing sites.
- Generate and implement design of experiments with subsequent statistical analysis of data.
- Authors technical documents and regulatory sections for regulatory filings.
- Presents work at group, departmental, and cross functional meetings.
- Performs and supports independent research leading to scientific presentations or publications.
- Supports the development of new technologies to enhance and expand the technical capabilities of the group towards product characterization and development.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- PhD with0-2 years experience Or a BS/MS with 0-8 years relevant experience.
- Degrees in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field with 0-2 years of relevant industry working experience.
- Understanding of drug product formulation or process development of protein therapeutics.
- A strong scientific understanding and experience with protein chemistry, biophysical/biochemical characterization of proteins or other biomolecules.
- Hands-on experience and trouble-shooting proficiency with biophysical and analytical techniques used in characterizing protein therapeutics including structure characterization (DLS, DSC, MALS, or AUC) and characterization of impurities (UPLC/HPLC, iCIEF, or capillary electrophoresis).
