Description:
Responsible for providing managerial support for technical and business activities to include direct, manage, supervise, and coordinate all technical activities for Pre-analytical, Serological, Nucleic Acid, Ancillary testing. Will manage the department(s) assigned, exhibit leadership, and maintain knowledge of regulatory/quality requirements. Maintain knowledge of all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) required to perform effectively. Maintain excellent communication with all personnel.
Manage and organize all departmental activities. Duties include:
Perform and/or facilitate corrective/preventive actions in response to audits and deviations.
Participate in project management.
Oversee the management of workforce staffing.
Assure timely delivery of all test reports.
Participate in the planning and preparation of departmental budgets and control all resources within the department.
Develop, initiate, and lead team-oriented work projects for the development and implementation of validations, process improvements, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that align with strategic goals.
Maintain strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulatory requirements, and all company policies.
Assure that departmental supplies are maintained within established inventory levels.
Evaluate results and equipment performance in an accurate and timely manner, and analyze quality control data and resolve deviations.
Analyze and prepare reports that measure and monitor laboratory performance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Education:
Requires a Bachelor's Degree.
Prefer a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university.
Licenses and/or Certifications:
Certified MT (CLS) or equivalent preferred
Experience:
6 years of laboratory experience in a testing laboratory
3 years of supervisory or management experience
