What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Mechanical Engineer position at Actalent?
MECHANICAL ENGINEER | SMITHVILLE, TN | FOOD SERVICE EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURING
- Support business needs by providing manufacturing support, new product development, and derivatives
- Develop product based on input from sales team
- Creating and executing test plan
- Create, approve, and distribute Engineering Change Notices
- Release part modifications to support Manufacturing
- Identify and execute on projects related to warranty improvement
- Identify and execute on projects related to cost take out
- Create new and revise existing bill of materials
- This position will be based in an office setting, but at times will require a hands-on approach
- Occasional prototyping and testing will result in the operation of tools in the manufacturing environment
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in related field or 15 years of experience in an Engineering role
- Experience with 3D modeling/drawings
- Fundamental understanding of Engineering principles
- Self-starter and hands-on approach
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
