Actalent is actively hiring for DAY SHIFT Specimen Processors in the Greenfield and Indy areas! We are continuing to partner with an awesome research company that is needing help with processing incoming samples as well as maintaining the millions of samples they have in storage. Job Description:
The primary role of candidates will be to process, scan, register, or store samples. Part of this is scanning the samples into their internal system after testing, and organizing the samples correctly on where they need to go (to a lab for testing or to a different place for storage). Candidates must follow correct SOP's while handling the samples and documenting their work. Throughout a day, candidates will be responsible for processing thousands of samples. This position is very fast paced, requires candidates to be on their feet a majority of day, work in 1-2 station areas, and keep information documented in the system in real time. Specimen Processing is under the Operations Unit and is separated into 3 teams-pull pack, freezer, and registration.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma/GED is required, and additional schooling is preferred (especially in the science field)
- 6 months experience in a highly metric driven environment
- Ability and interest to work in an active position (could be standing, walking, or seated depending on the task)
