What are the responsibilities and job description for the SQA Engineer position at Actalent?
Description:
- Lead the Quality Assurance teams for new product embedded software development.
- Define, specify, and implement software quality standards and procedures for new software following Quality Management System e.g. ISO 9100.
- Lead software verification and validation efforts for compliance to DO-178 process.
- Write test plans, test procedures, and test scripts for software verification and validation.
- Assures that product shipped meets internal and external customer requirements.
- Lead customer and third-party audits.
- Work with systems engineers, safety engineers, software engineers, and test engineers to execute verification of software requirements.
- Lead non-compliance investigation, root cause analysis and drive corrective actions to completion.
- Monitor/manage new program metrics and facilitates efforts to drive continual improvement.
- Execute on customer, operations, or new program deliverables in accordance with contract requirements.
- Provide input on new product design related to quality.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
- 5-8 years of experience with software quality engineering
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Certified to Six Sigma
- Experience in DoD industry.
- Experience working on quality programs for military ground vehicle subsystems and products.
- Experience or knowledgeable of AS9100 quality management system.
- Experience working with radios, Ethernet switches/routers, and power supplies for ground vehicles.
- Experience with unmanned autonomous ground vehicles.
- Experience with software quality assurance.
- Knowledgeable or experience supporting safety standard processes such as Mil-Std-882E, DO-178 and or ISO26262.
