What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Electrical Project Engineer (No Travel) position at Actalent?
Actalent is hiring a Sr. Electrical Engineer to work onsite at our client's R&D facility. They will lead & support projects and maintenance efforts for the building's electrical/automated equipment.

Description:
- The Electrical Engineer’s accountabilities are in the areas of facility power distribution systems, backup power systems, pilot line machine automation/control systems, building automation and facility monitoring systems (IE Climate control and monitoring for temperature)
- Provide a supporting role in the development of new product innovations and the improvement of current product offerings.
- As part of the Facilities Team, they will ensure that the Westlake facility is a state-of-the-art R&D environment
- Ensure maximum uptime of the facility power systems and backup systems
- Manage and execute the electrical safety program
- Lead electrical engineering projects from conception to finish
- Oversee electrical distribution system preventive maintenance program as well as system replacement and system expansions
- Subject matter expert for laboratory and industrial electrical distribution systems
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field
-7 years of electrical engineering in a lab, or manufacturing setting
-Experience with PLC’s, HMI’s, and Data Acquisition Systems from both a maintenance and design/program perspective
-Expertise 480V power distribution system application and maintenance including:
a. Circuit design and coordination
b. Transformer, feeder circuit, and motor protection circuit sizing
c. Arc Flash analysis
d. Working knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70B
e. Ability to read and develop one-line diagrams
-General knowledge of and experience with a variety of industrial controls and safety systems including:
a. Machine safety systems such as light curtains, safety scanners, guard switches and associated safety circuitry and controllers
b. Pneumatic valves and actuators
c. Motion control systems (Servo, Stepper, Brushless DC, Variable Speed AC)
d. Photoelectric, inductive, capacitive sensor systems and buses.
e. Proficiency in understanding and developing two-line diagrams and panel layouts (JIC, ANSI, IEC)
f. Thorough knowledge in personnel electrical safety and the NFPA 70E standard and CFR1910 subpart S sections 332 thru 335
A plus if you have:
1. Masters in Electrical Engineering
2. Ability to program PLCS (Rockwell, panel view, Omron, GE, etc.)
3. Ability to program Denso SCARA robots
4. Industrial Vision systems for small part identification
5. Understanding of ethernet networking systems
6. Experience with easy power or arc flash software
7. Working knowledge of AutoCAD electrical
8. General chemistry knowledge
