What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Embedded Software Engineer position at Actalent?
**Local candidates preferred**
**This job is open to remote candidates but travel to Chicago, IL 2-3 times a year will be required**
Responsibilities include:
• Software Design and development of middle layer/BSW and lower layer/BSP embedded software for multiple ECUs on microcontrollers and SOCs
• Integrate and acceptance testing of supplier provided software modules.
• Configure and Integrate AUTOSAR - MCAL based drivers with legacy middle layer modules
• Develop and maintain integration workflows and document integration guide for easier application software integration
• Design and develop tools to automate software workflows and processes. Develop and maintain software build environment
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical or software) with a minimum of 5 years experience is required. Master's Degree with 3 or more years of experience or Doctorate with 1 or more years of experience.
• Experience working with real time operating system RTOS (Autosar OSEK or similar)
• Strong experience of microcontrollers (16/32-bit automotive grade), compilers/linkers
• Strong embedded code debugging skills
• Experience with CAN protocol
• Experience working with memories (Flash, EEPROM, RAM, External memories), MMU etc.
*Knowledge of AUTOSAR preferred
