A Team of experiences technical field staff that focuses on bringing first-rate vibration monitoring and control services is actively looking to bring on a Staff Scientist to their team in Frederick, MD. Their comprehensive pre-construction surveys and vibration control expertise enable them to assist their customers in minimizing the risk of claims from blasting, pile driving, traffic and various construction vibration and sound sources.
Description:
Staff Scientist to work alongside our Geologists and Engineers in performing condition assessment surveys and instrumentation monitoring, including vibration, ground, geotechnical, structural, and geological equipment.
Vibration monitoring and related experience is a plus
Primary responsibilities include:
- Performing pre-, interim- and post-construction condition surveys of buildings, roadways and other structures
- Preparing equipment for deployment in the field, including construction of monitoring stations
- Performing attended and remote measurements of movements, vibrations, sound levels and air overpressures
- Traveling to out-of-town job sites to cover field work
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
