Structural Steel Detailer

Description

This role is responsible for converting customer structural steel drawings to AutoCAD designs, then create plans to manufacture product and deliver to the customer. In this role, you would spend about 50% of the time using AutoCAD and working through the drawings/designs, while other 50% is coordination and project management between internal and clients on the delivery. On a day-to-day basis, you could be working on 2-6 projects at different stages of completion.

This role will also be directly supporting the Team Lead in training and reviewing other Detailers drawings. There is a quick path to Team Lead, Supervisor, and other leadership roles.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in Structural Designing OR Detailing is required
• Need to be able to understand structural steel loads and information from basic drawings
• 6 months of experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks, Tekla, or other 2D and 3D modeling is required
• Familiarity with the approval process for structural designs is preferred
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and flexibility to work on multiple project needs on a daily basis
• Past leadership or training experience is preferred
• HS Diploma or GED minimum, but AS, BS, or other courses completed within design, modeling, or related education is preferred

Salary : $55,000 - $75,000
