Job Title: Substation Engineer EIT

Job Description

As a Substation Electrical Engineer in Training, you will be immersed in learning the basics of BIM, Revit, and AutoCAD-aided drafting and electrical design. This role offers the opportunity to understand the codes and regulations that govern the industry and apply calculations for a range of engineering solutions. You will engage in the design of electrical power substations and distribution lines, learning to interpret one-line diagrams, relaying diagrams, control schematics, and more. Under the supervision of an experienced engineer, you will apply basic design criteria, prepare, and modify drawings, developing a foundational understanding of the National Electrical Safety Code and National Electrical Code.

Hard Skills

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications
• 0-3 years of design experience(Entry level candidates need to have either a internship or course work in specifically in utility power distribution)
• Experience with AutoCAD
• Knowledge of National Electrical Safety Code and National Electrical Code
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics

Soft Skills

• Ability to work under supervision
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Effective communication skills

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Billings, Montana.

Work Environment

The position will be primarily onsite at the client's location. Some remote work flexibility will be considered based on experience.
