What are the responsibilities and job description for the Superintendent position at Actalent?
Southern California Construction General Contractor with a proven track record with a focus on primarily Industrial Concrete Tilt-up Construction and Tenant Improvements in the Southern California is seeking a Superintendent to join their team. The initial projects will consist of 85,000 sqf and 176,000 sqf industrial warehouses.
Responsibilities:
- Reports to Project Manager
- Responsible for day-to-day jobsite activities
- Superintendent runs work with minimal direction
- Maintaining QUALITY
- Ensure that plans and specifications are followed by R&R and subs
- Create and Maintain Job SCHEDULE
- Job Site Signage
- Daily Reports (Electronic, forward to project manager daily)
- Once a month back-up of electronic files completed and coordinated with office manager
- Reading and understanding subcontractor scopes
- Ensure job as-builts are being completed by subcontractors
- Be aware of costs, to work with PM to manage project budgets
- Flag problems to P.M.’s -- help solve problems
- Maintain RFI Log – Issue RFI’s
- Mandatory – CLEAN AND ORGANIZED PROJECT
Qualifications:
- 5 years of Superintendent Construction experience
- Experience on concrete tilt-up projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Scheduling software: Primavera or MS Project experience
Compensation:
- Salary: $115,000 to $135,000 (Negotiable based upon experience)
