What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technologist I position at Actalent?
Job Description:
Determinethe acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
Performroutine and complex technical procedures and functions according to
departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
Monitor,operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
Demonstratethe ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
Prepare,test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
Reportaccurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care.
Performand document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
Identifyand replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
Assistwith processing of specimens when needed.
Maintaina safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
Requirements:
Bachelor'sdegree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology
or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements.
Minimum1-2 years of clinical laboratory testing experience is required for
Technologist level.
Previousexperience is not required at the Technologist Trainee level ASCP or AMT certification is preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Laboratory,
clinical diagnostics, chemistry, reviewing quality control, ancillary testing.
Shift to choose from:
Tuesday
to Saturday: 9am to 5:30 pm
