What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traveling Controls Engineer position at Actalent?
Actalent is seeking a Controls Engineer to work on automotive projects across the country. The company has had a large influx of projects with clients and the Controls Engineer will be supporting the projects. This position will be supporting a line for an new EV upgrade. This role would have full benefits and pay 1.5x for any OT worked. Total compensation would be $200k , not including per diem.
Responsibility/Requirements:
· Familiar with automated assembly processes
· Have written software, from scratch, for automated assembly cells in Allen Bradley
· Capable of independently writing functional software using the inputs of electrical prints and cycle time / sequence of operation charts
· Able to integrate third party devices using the PLC for control
· Experience in commissioning automation/manufacturing cells with robotics
· Work within template software guidelines
· Help to assign daily tasks to the team.
· Ability to adjust the team as issues come up through the day.
· GCCS Certification or experience with GM Global Standards
· Experience with Fanuc Robots is preferred
