What are the responsibilities and job description for the Validation Engineer position at Actalent?
Validation Engineer
This role will assist with transmission and drivetrain testing development.
This engineer will need to understand how construction machines work – will be working with Medium Wheel Loader, Various Tractors, etc.
Running tests on machines, supervising tests, analyzing results, making necessary changes to software that controls transmission. Taking data and working with component engineers to compare results with expectations, and making necessary modifications. Working in a team setting, presenting results and collaborating with various teams.
Skills
- BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Ag, etc. BUT will look at non-degreed if resume shows the candidate has experience in testing/reviewing data
- Drivetrain experience big plus
- Comfortable work on-machine, outdoors
- Data analysis
- PowerPoint, Excel
- Some CAD understanding
- Understanding of how machines are controlled
Engineers in this group work a schedule that allow them to have every other Friday off.
