HIRING: Senior Wastewater Engineer (Fully Remote)
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Wastewater Engineer to join our team on a fully remote basis. The successful candidate will have a strong background in wastewater design, treatment plant design, and pumping system design, with experience preparing construction documents and technical reports. As a Senior Wastewater Engineer, you will be responsible for leading design tasks and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects.
Responsibilities:
- Design wastewater treatment plants, pumping systems, and other water infrastructure projects
- Prepare construction documents, including drawings, P&IDs, specifications, control narratives, and technical reports
- Lead design tasks and collaborate with project teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Develop and review engineering calculations and designs for wastewater treatment plants and pumping systems
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to project planning and execution
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and designers
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering
- 3-8 years of experience in wastewater design, treatment plant design, and pumping system design
- EIT certification preferred
- Experience preparing construction documents including drawings, P&IDs, specifications, control narratives, and technical reports for a variety of municipal water and wastewater projects
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and MathCAD
- Experience as a Task Design Lead or equivalent role
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Experience with design software such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk Revit, or similar programs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
